I called for my progesterone results today and they called me back quickly to let me know that they did drop. To a crazy number, 17.9 and I was right on the verge of being eight weeks on tuesday when the blood draw was done. The nurse was not really concerned. She explained that I am in midzone 2. I don't want to be mkidzone 2, I want better for me and for my babe. Is that too much to ask? So I asked about the suppositories are supplemental and they said it is not needed the baby is doing great and all is well. I don't want all is well right now, I was all is well for a happy ending. A healthy baby born to a healthy mom at the right time! Not too much to ask!
Two weeks ago, the numbers were around 24. Here is something that might have affected it, though. I am not sure. I always do my blood draws around 7:30 am (basically fasting) but that day if was done at 2:30 pm and I had eaten two light meals before then. I also felt drained that day, laid around until my appointment and blood draw, etc. That is the day they took about 9 vials of blood at one time and I was wiped out and had to go see the breast specialish right after that. I then became grouchy (BAD) and starving. Only to know that I still had a long night ahead of me with confirmation practice.
Please pray for me and our baby, my hubs is a tad nervous too! Please know that the prayers are returned for all of you!
Are you on any progesterone now?
ReplyDeleteI don't think the time when you get the progesterone drawn is a difference...I've never seen it in my test results....
Praying!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, JB!
ReplyDeleteSew, I receive 200 units every tuesday and friday night. The day of the draw, I got another dose of the meds about 6 hours later. I did hear that stress can affect your progesterone levels, not sure about finding resources to support that!
ReplyDeleteI will pray for you!
ReplyDeletePrayers for you!
ReplyDeletePraying. I've been told progesterone is phasic (not sure if that's the word), but that it dips and peaks throughout the day so that the blood test is just a snapshot of what it's really doing. Any level should be taken for what it is (and your P4 support adjusted by your Dr. as he/she sees appropriate), but just to know that it does change.
ReplyDeleteOh my....you're at the top of my list. I've already given God strict instructions (He loves it when I do that) to bring this sweet baby into the arms of his/her mommy & daddy - nice and healthy in December. It's G's prayer too. She can't wait to play with her new friend. Praying praying praying - and hoping you are able to enjoy freedom from the difficult work situation. Love you.
ReplyDeleteDef. praying for you and just to hopefully give you some reassurance, my prog. levels would drop and go back up constantly. My Dr. explained that it has to do with the time of day your blood is drawn. Also if you're tking the progesterone supplement in a pill form, you can use that as a suppository, which is what I did. It ain't pretty but it gets the job done. I know you're concerned right now so I'll be praying for you and the little babe.
