Heaven for little ones

Joseph has been wanting to go back to the zoo for some time, but we have not had the time to make a big trip back there.  In the meantime, he was ecstatic to be able to feed the animals at the petting zoo.  We easily spent an hour feeding the animals!  We had so much fun!

“The ‘wa-wanna’ took some time to get used to, but he was so happy to tell everyone he petted the iguana!

Now, he really, REALLY loved this turtle!!!

He said “he ate all my food.”  This goat followed us everywhere Smile  He was hungry!

The Llama (or as Joseph calls him – the ‘yamma’) was so sure of herself.  She never got up but she ate everything that was offered.

This little animal was very demanding, he cornered Joseph and Joseph fussed at him like he does to the cats at home when they get on the kitchen table!  Joseph discovered this animal did not listen as well as Baylie, though.

Joseph got to ride the pony, Pepper.

I was there a bit before Jessy so Joseph got to ride him once before.  However, big Momma, walked alongside him the whole time.  When DaddyO showed up, the thought Joseph could stay upright and hold onto the saddlehorn all. by. himself.  I had a mini heart attack, but HE DID IT!!!

So proud and wasn’t scared for one second of riding!!!

A whole new beginning

Yesterday afternoon, we spent hours on the little stretch of blacktop. It was the perfect way to spend a nice spring day and wear my big out! I underestimated how much he would love to ride and his determination to make his little hand me down bike work! I also underestimated how grown up he would look rolling down the road as he pedaled so fast!

We easily spent 2 hours rolling up and down our street and he loved the freedom!

He is so proud!

At one point he fell down and had a bit of blood on his finger and I offered to bring him in and clean it up but he said "no thanks, I ride my bike!"

Sometimes the pedals would stick on him and he had to work super hard to get the bike going again and when he did he would exclaim "I going..... I going"

We even met some new neighbors and they took us in the woods and showed up the swamp and all on their 50 plus acre land. This was of course, after DaddyO joined us.

Funnest day ever ;))

At one point he was EXHAUSTED! So he and I took turns pushing his bike back to our driveway.

We made it back home before DaddyO because he was chatting with a neighbor. When he did start to make his way home I asked Joseph if he would like to go meet DaddyO and immediately he was off like a rocket!

I just loved watching his excitement in running to meet his DaddyO! When he got to him (after running as fast as he could the whole time) he said "whew, DaddyO. I am tired....." I could only imagine that is how we run to Jesus! Not gonna slow down, we just want him!

Note: we were extremely careful with traffic and surprisingly there was no cars passing the entire time we were out there!

Welcome Spring . . .

Joseph has been waiting for you!!!

We spent the day outside.

For about 15 minutes, I tried to capture pictures of my sweet little one.

DSCN7976

However, I got a few shots that capture his motivation for staying outside.

DSCN7977

He was all about loading up his front-end loader.

DSCN7978

It had to be filled with dirt, dried leaves, and lots of grass that he pulled up himself.  I really loved watching his imagination at work.

DSCN7981

At one point he had all 3 of his dump trucks out there and he wanted more.  He is all about “mighty machines’ these days.

DSCN7982

I asked him the other day if he wanted to grow up and work on a construction site and he said “yes”.  I was quite surprised by this because he is always telling me that he wants to stay little.  I frequently ask him about getting big and his response is always the same (norrmally) “No,  I not get big  . . . I gonna stay wittle.”

So happy there is so much sunshine and not so much mud from all the rain and cold weather.

Happy boy, trying hard to steal my camera!

All that fun in the sun, got him wiped.

He passed out in the recliner just before DaddyO got home.
