oh, be still my heart….

I found this picture from a probably 2-3 years ago and it made me miss my sweet, much smaller boy!

He will be starting pre-k in a little over a month from now and just this week I was thinking I need to teach him my phone number.  To my surprise, while we were visiting Granny yesterday, we practiced with her landline phone and by the second try he had memorized my phone number (as well as how to order the numbers on the phone key pad) and then he proceeded to call me on my cell phone about 10 feet away at least a dozen times AND IT NEVER GOT OLD!!!!!!!

We got home and there was so much going on, I forgot to share the news with Jessy.  It was only after baths that I let Joseph use his phone and had Jessy hold my phone and Joseph correctly called my phone an additional two times.  DaddyO was very surprised Smile  A highlight from my rough week!

A park trip with Gauge!!

Joseph was so excited to invite his cousin, Gauge, to go to the water park with him last week.  They played in the sand, chased each other at the splash area, played on the slides and the big Pirate Ship ( they went to Hawaii & Alaska via the cruise ship), and back to the sand again.  After the last sand visit I saw the crowd was getting so thick, I suggested we go the the other end of the Center area and rinsing off at the older splash pad.  There we all cooled down and it was so much fun.  They seemed to really enjoy each other’s company!  Love these two boys!

Digging for worms ;)

Last week we were so excited to have sunshine and all of the rain gone for awhile.  We spent the afternoon outside and after all of the normal adventures, Joseph began digging for worms.  No, he did not use a shovel, he used a hammer.  He dug for hours and he was filthy!  Yet, he was the happiest boy ever.  We used the water hose to spray him off and then sent him straight to the shower!  Later that evening, he passed out in the living room.
