This was a big year for Joseph in loving all things Christmasy, so I knew taking our tree down was going to take a lot for Joseph to accept and understand.
We took it in stages and worked it at his pace.
This picture shows a very big boy growing in maturity and a Daddyo who loves him more than life itself!!!
I was putting on my wedding ring this morning andJoseph asked me "mommy, why do you always wear that ring on your finger, the ring Daddy gave you?" I told him "I wear because it is special. daddy gave it to me to say he loved me and wanted me to be his wife. Maybe one day you will choose to give a a special girl a ring like this one when you love her more than anything in the world and you want her to be by your side forever, she will be your wife." He responded with "oh, yeah. I could be a husband and love my wife and give her a ring like you wear." Surprised, I asked him " so you think one day you will love a girl so much you will want to be her husband?" He replied quickly with "yes!!" Enjoying this conversation I asked him "do you think you have any special girl in mind?" To which he surprised me by saying "yes, the girl that lives at Graham's house." I ask "Malorie or Emma?" He says "Emma, she needs a ring. I will ask her to give me a ring too." I then quickly tell him "well I don't think her Daddy is ready for her to receiving any rings anytime soon. Or giving any rings!" He said "that is alright, I am going to ask her when I see her."
