Crazy boy!!!

Joseph has been going strong for 13 hours on jyst 8 hours of sleep last night.  He wanted to wake up early to go see the firefighter heroes at the library today.  However he did not want to go to bed early last night.  Right now - he is STILL up fighting with every ounce of his being to not sit in my lap and read a story.

The truth is this kid is a night owl, loves to be up late, hates to get up early, & cries with a huge meltdown when the rising sun is hurting his eyes (like the sun is out to get him).

I love, love, love this boy but it would be so much easier to love him if he was more like his Daddyo and less like me ;). Just kidding, I love him every way!!!

Josephisms

A few of my favorite memories from the last week.

This morning while Joseph is helping me make the beds before we can relax in the living room, he wanted to make a fuss.  I quickly asked for quick help to distract him and asked him to fix the top corners.    He begrudgingly did it AND THEN surprised himself by doing it well with ease.  I smiled and said "thank you so much, that was helpful."  He replied with "my pleasure."  Big smile on that sweet face.  It's sweetness made my day.

On Sunday, I had my spiritual direction appointment and I had dressed nice because it was a rare chance to able to get ready with less interruptions.  So when I was about to head out of the room, Joseph barges in the room following his DaddyO and takes a quick glance at me and says "Good dressing, momma!"  Haha!!!  I adored the compliment!!  Too bad I did not even make it to spiritul direction (poor Matthew had an accident pushing on the glass window of the trailer from the lease and needed to go to the ER to get stitches).  Good thing he is healing up nicely.

And for being real, here as I am typing this post Joseph is exploring his toybox all the while wearing Daddyo's shoes!

They are some big shoes to fill, little man!!!

By the way, ALL OF THE SUDDEN ALL OF HIS PJS ARE TOO SMALL!!!  There is a huge growth spurt happening here !  Just yesterday, I bought size 8 school shirts and suze seven shorts.  The shorts are snug 😙

Summer Reading Program 2015

Reading has always been a fun hobby of mine and I really enjoy sharing this with Joseph.  He loves books so much that there was a certain point that I had to stop buying and going to the library and that was the beginning of a fantastic new adventure for us!

Sweet boy, the sun was in his eyes and he has meltdowns when the sun is in his eyes.  EPIC MELTDOWNS!

So, I had to share all of these out-takes of him with his very coveted RED (“Red is my favorite color!!!”) superpower sign!

Sunday Afternoon Escape

We took a little trip to a local State Park and had so much fun making new friends of the creature kind.

We brought bread to feed the ducks, but had fun feeding the turtles instead!  They were big and plentiful!

We spotted this beauty and spent time with her for a few minutes!  She was friendly & hungry!  She enjoyed our bread as well.

Joseph enjoyed some rock climbing, lizard chasing, squirrel spotting, and boat watching.  It was a full afternoon and the weather was perfect.
