My choice for an outing on Mother’s Day

So, my heart was heavy today for all those who would find facing today very difficult so I made a point to wake up early for Mass.  I went by myself (Matthew fell back asleep and Jessy stayed with Joseph who slept until I came home) and offered up my mass for a stranger but in all ways a friend of the heart.  Her name was Michelle and she was facing the due date of her baby that she lost way too early.  It was very important for me to honor her today, along with others who find Mothers day as a day of sadness instead of joy.  Afterward, Jessy suggested I crawl back in bed and I did and then work up to the smell of a wonderful homemade lunch.  What a wonderful morning.  After we all ate, we headed down the road the the National Wildlife Reserve for Joseph’s first real fishing trip.  It was marvelous and then the rain sent us home early.

We all had so much fun and it was a blessing to celebrate this day with my family!  So very thankful for all of the boys and the man in these pictures!

Working hard

It is amazing how influential a few older kids can be to a toddler! We have been getting ready for our garage sale and Joseph followed the big kids In holding up signs for soft drinks and water. He was so proud!
I fall more in love with him every single day!

Josephisms

"It's gonna go off after it comes on." Joseph sure know how his cartoon works ;)

"When I grow up, I am gonna have a horse and I am gonna ride him and pet him very softly."

Love him so much! This is a picture from the other day when he and I were playing with play dough and sharing Hershey Kisses from our Easter basket! He got a whole 5 bites out if one Kiss ;). Now, he like chocolate, just like his Momma. Funny note thought, yesterday I pulled out 2 Reese's miniature cups for each of us. He waited a long time to eat his and then he found me in the laundry room folding clothes and he handed me one if his candies and said "here, Mommy, I saved this one for you!"

These days are going by so fast and I love my time with him. It has been such a blessing being his Momma and loving him everyday! Such grace!
